Prof Silk is a cognitive neuroscientist in the School of Psychology, Deakin University, Australia. Leading the Neuro-molecular Sciences theme in the Centre for Social and Early Emotional Development (SEED), and head of the Brain and Cognitive Development lab, Silk has driven a research program to identify neurobiological underpinnings of ADHD, and ultimately to distinguish or predict differential cognitive and neurodevelopmental outcomes. Silk established and leads Australia’s largest longitudinal imaging cohort of children with ADHD, and is a key contributor to the ADHD working groups of international consortiums. Silk is the current Chair of the Research Committee for the Australian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA).
