Bring WiDS to Your Region

WiDS Ambassadors plan an event in their area that coincides with the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Worldwide Conference. They host events in their regions supporting women who are currently ​in the field and ​inspiring other women to become data scientists.

Educate the Next Generation of Data Scientists

WiDS NextGen provides resources and support for educators to introduce and teach data science to their students. We particularly encourage younger women and girls to consider these STEM fields by showing examples of successful women in data science and related roles.

Integrate the datathon in university course curricula

WiDS provides well-curated, real-world datasets for college and university instructors to incorporate into their course curriculum. Datathon is a hands-on project over a multi-week period designed to test skill sets and boost resume performance.

Mentor WiDS Datathon Participants

WiDS Ambassadors worldwide host Datathon workshops to support participants through the Datathon challenge. Mentors can assist participants at these workshops by leading hands-on activities, providing technical guidance, or assisting with team building exercises.
