Can Artificial Intelligence Today “See” Beyond the Expert Clinical Eye?

About This Video

In this tech vision talk, Paula discusses the integration of deep learning techniques into diagnostic practice is set to transform healthcare. Their research focuses on developing advanced algorithms for diagnosing meningitis in newborns, using non-invasive ultrasound technologies and computer vision.

Meningitis, a life-threatening condition, requires rapid and accurate diagnosis. By harnessing the power of deep learning, we can increase diagnostic accuracy and improve patient outcomes, particularly in remote areas with limited access to medical expertise. This technology supports clinical decision-making and reduces the burden on doctors, demonstrating its remarkable potential to save lives and democratize healthcare.
